The Case
A community stays strong through the moments no one plans for. A storm passes through. A family needs help getting on its feet. A group of women needs a room to learn a new trade. A school needs water in its pipes so the kids can stay in class. When these things fall into place, they do so because someone was ready.
Friends of Exuma’s Sustainable Living work covers the resilience of the Exuma community itself: the safety nets, the capacity-building, and the community-driven projects that sustain daily life across Great Exuma and the Cays. Our partners in this area move fast when there is a need and steadily when there is a program that keeps the community whole.
How Friends of Exuma Supports This Work
Every gift to the Community Fund flows to the Sustainable Living partners doing this work, supporting the community relief efforts, women’s programs, and events that quietly hold Exuma together. Where a partner has a specific need, a family in a difficult stretch, a workshop that needs a venue, or a school that needs a working water system, Friends of Exuma funds that too.
