Welcome On Board Shona, Ashley and Craig!
Friends of Exuma is glad to welcome three new directors to it’s board: Shona Perry, Ashley Stipes and Craig Stipes!
Shona Perry
Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Shona Perry has always been passionate about people, community, and creating meaningful experiences. Her hospitality career has taken her across the Caribbean, where she has spent the last five years in leadership roles, building strong teams and fostering exceptional guest experiences while developing a deep appreciation for the unique cultures and communities that make each island special.
Over the past year, Shona has proudly called Exuma home as General Manager of Grand Isle Resort. During her time on the island, she has fallen in love with Exuma's natural beauty, vibrant spirit, and the warmth and kindness of its people. Through both her professional role and personal involvement in the community, she has come to appreciate the importance of supporting initiatives that preserve and strengthen the island for future generations.
Shona is honored to join the Board of Directors of Friends of Exuma and is excited for the opportunity to give back to a community that has welcomed her so warmly. She looks forward to working alongside fellow board members, community leaders, and volunteers to support projects that enhance the quality of life for residents, protect Exuma's unique environment, and contribute to the island's continued success.

Ashley and Craig Stipes
Ashley was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, where she continues to live. She graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Veterinary Sciences, followed by work in veterinary offices, at C Lazy U Ranch in Granby, Colorado, The Greenville News and The Harper Corporation.
For the past 18 years, Ashley has devoted herself to raising her two sons while remaining actively involved in her community. Her volunteer experience includes participating in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year campaign, serving through her church and her sons’ schools, and serving on the Advisory Council for Homes of Hope.
Ashley has spent time in Exuma since 2021, and the island quickly became a very special part of her life. She looks forward to contributing her time and energy to an organization dedicated to supporting and strengthening the island and its community. In her free time, Ashley enjoys running, yoga, reading, skiing, concerts and travel.
Ashley’s husband, Craig, leads Broadstreet Partners Development and Capital Investment platforms. For the past 25 years Craig has been involved in numerous facets of the real estate industry including construction, finance, brokerage, capital markets, and development. Prior to the formation of Broadstreet Partners in 2014 he worked with Fortune 500 Companies CBRE, JP Morgan, Skanska-Tidewater and was also a partner in a boutique development firm in Charlotte NC.
In addition to procuring and overseeing new development opportunities for Broadstreet, Craig has been active in the Urban Land Institute, ICSC, Homes of Hope, Water of Life, Grace Church and also served as an adjunct professor in the Clemson MRED program. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Masters in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Georgia.
Ashley and Craig reside in Greenville with their family. They both are active in their local church and love spending time outdoors with their two sons Drew and Harper.
