Exceptional Education Outreach (EEO)

Special education and literacy support for teachers and students across The Bahamas.

Who They Are

Exceptional Education Outreach, known as EEO, is a Bahamian non-profit specializing in special education and literacy. In partnership with the Bahamian Ministry of Education, EEO works directly with teachers and school leaders to support students with exceptional learning needs.

In 2025, EEO launched the Family Island Partnership, working directly with teachers in Exuma to support students with exceptional learning needs. Through that program, EEO now supports three special education teachers serving six schools and reaching nearly 100 students in Georgetown, Exuma.

What Your Support Makes Possible

Your support, through the Community Fund, supports EEO’s work in Exuma: the teacher training, classroom support, and materials that make sure a student’s difference in learning does not become a difference in opportunity.

In their Words

"With Friends of Exuma's generous grant in 2025, EEO has been able to make significant strides in supporting three special education teachers who serve across six schools and reach nearly 100 students in Georgetown, Exuma."
