Exuma Arts Network

A home for Bahamian arts and culture on Great Exuma, for the children who make it and the community who lives here.

Who They Are

The Exuma Arts Network provides a space that exposes students to Bahamian arts and culture through interactive workshops and after-school programs. In 2023, EAN partnered with the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas to bring programs across the Caribbean, US, and Canada into Exuma. Its work has grown into a full calendar: a monthly Paint & Sip, an After School Creative Club, a Summer Eco-Art Camp for children ages 6 to 15, workshops with students from Exuma Christian Academy and LN Coakley High School, and the first solo exhibition for local self-taught Bahamian artist Beatrice Oliver Gould.

EAN’s Mural Project, a collaboration with the Bahamas National Trust and Moriah Harbour Cay National Park, was unveiled in October 2022 and now sits behind the Arts Network building in George Town.

What Your Support Makes Possible

Friends of Exuma has been a partner of the Exuma Arts Network since its inception. Your support, through the Community Fund, goes towards the workshops and camps that bring Bahamian children in the door, and helps EAN take on new work, and the artist showcases that put Bahamian creativity on a wall for the first time.

In their Words

"Friends of Exuma believed in our mission from our inception, and have provided significant funding support ever since."

Sann Sann Lam, Executive Director, Exuma Arts Network
